Debuted: Modesto Con 2017
Notes:
Way back when, before I started cosplaying regularly, I threw together a cosplay of this Asuka outfit for my first convention! It wasn't the best cosplay. I knew nothing about wigs or how to properly alter thrift-ed pieces back then. I didn't start cosplaying consistently until a few years later, so I eventually decided to revisit it! This time around I searched the internet for a more "accurate" dress that didn't need many modifications and eventually found one I loved. I also grabbed a wig and bought her hair clips off eBay! Basically everything was bought. The choker was some ribbon I picked up from a craft store. The watch was a plastic kids watch I found online--I honestly didn't expect to find the exact color combination but I did! How funny! I already owned red heels. To mimic the strap across the foot, I took a strip of red fabric and tied it around my foot. I also owned the sunhat already! In fact, I had originally bought this sunhat for the first time I cosplayed this outfit. What was made?
Choker. What was bought? Sundress. Sunhat. Watch. Shoes. Hair clips. Related Links!

Fun Facts!
Revisited?
- As I mentioned above, I've actually cosplayed this once before. She was one of my first cosplays! If not my first? Although I always forget about her and have accepted Juliet Starling and Tiaga as my first official cosplays. But she was probably the true first. I wore her to my first convention ever! And it looked awful! I used my own hair which was a reddish brown at the time, (poorly) cut up a yellow dress I found in a store and called it good!
- When collecting all the pieces for this cosplay I already had an idea of the type of location I wanted to shoot this. I knew from the start I wanted an area with taller, yellow grass and after some googling found a good spot near LA. Luckily for me I was shooting this during summer so the area was dry and yellow/brown rather than the green it gets during the winter. I also went during a golden hour to shoot and was able to get a lot of amazing shots because of it!
