Notes:
Dark Magician Girl is easily one of my "dream" cosplays. I'm so glad I finally got to cosplay her. I was obsessed with Yugioh as a kid--the amount of cards I had was insane and I even had that arm attachment-playing field thing from the shows. Dark Magician Girl was, obviously, my favorite card--well her and Blue-Eyes White Dragon. This costumes was really easy to make! It only took me 2-3 days to complete. Everything was made out of stretch fabric in the two colors you see here (pink and blue). For pieces like the hat, gauntlets and parts of the boot covers, I used craft foam covered in spray adhesive then fabric to create those pieces. The craft foam helped everything keep it's shapes and sit correctly. This was especially helpful for the hat--I mean look how tall it is! The wand was a PVC pipe wrapped in fabric (I choose fabric over paint to keep the colors perfectly identical) with insulation foam to create the pieces at either end. Everything but the base of the bodysuit, skirt and base of the boot covers is available as patterns on my Patreon and will be up for sale on my Storenvy. What was made?
Skirt. Cape. Bodysuit. Hat. Shoes/Shoe covers. Wand. Necklace. Belt. Gauntlets. What was bought? Nothing! All costume pieces were made. Related Links!

Fun Facts!
Childhood Favorite
- Dark Magician Girl was my favorite Yugioh card and I had a couple different versions of her in my collection when I was little. I once spent more than I probably should've on a card of her. Because of this she was always a cosplay I wanted to do. I hope to even revisit this cosplay again someday and re-make it from better materials. And just make it better in general now that I've learned more in terms of sewing.
