Debuted: Fanime 2017
Notes:
Who doesn't love Kanna? She's literally the most adorable character to have ever been created! I was instantly in love. Of course I had to cosplay her! I purchased the hair accessories (balls and horns) off eBay. It was super cheap and helped cut down on the amount of work I needed to to. The shoes were from eBay, as well. But I added bows to them to make them more accurate. Socks were also bought but I hand-stitched lace to the top. The cape and the dress where made by me. Both the patterns and the final outfit. I'll actually have a video showing this process too! The dress was made using bed sheets I thrifted for only $1.50! It was way more than enough fabric to make this. I used an oversize t-shirt to draw up a pattern around and just eye-balled the rest (like where seam lines needed to go). The cape was made from white fabric I had lying around--I keep buying white fabric and forgetting I already own plenty so now I have a surplus! The pattern was really easy to draw up--I just wrapped some paper around me and traced the shape I needed. The black swirls on the pink strip were originally going to be made from iron-on vinyl. But I was short on time so I made a stencil and painted it one with acrylic paint. I traced around an old skirt to create the pattern for the skirt and added and elastic band to the top. The tail is a coat hanger that was painted purple and has an elastic band attached to one end. The little ball on the end is made from the same wool fabric I used for the neck of the cape. I painted it purple using a mix of water and acrylic paint. What was made?
Top. Skirt. Cape/cloak. Tail. Socks-altered. Shoes' bows. What was bought? Hair accessories. Horns. Backpack. Shoes. Related Links!

WIP PhotosBuild TimeShopping: Half a day + one or two hours of searching online
Pattern Making: 1 day Sewing: 2-4 days Detail Work: About 1 day **Days are not a full 24 hours. They're more like "work" days. Meaning for each day, I worked on the cosplay for anywhere from 4-10 hours per day--it's all a rough estimate.

Fun Facts!
This cosplay stopped traffic!
- I have an entire story time video about this on my YouTube channel. But long story short: I wore this cosplay while taking public transport to the con and on my way to catch a tram, I had two different cars pull over and offer my rides. One coming back around a few times! Needless to say I was annoyed and not happy about it. Luckily, the con was fun.. just off to a rough start.
- I wanted to get nice pictures while I was already wearing this cosplay, so I left the con a bit earlier one of the days and searched for a place to take photos. I googled nearby parks and me and a friend headed to one of the closer ones. And boy! Was it such a lucky find! There was no one there and it was totally surrounded in trees, hidden in a quiet neighborhood. It was super green with big open fields and lots of little flowers. It was my ideal location and I didn't even know it until I saw it!
