Debuted: September 2016
Notes:
This costume and wig was sponsored by Miccostumes. They provided everything but the prop and shoes--those I had to make myself. I also had to style the wig. Styling the wig was probably the most tricky thing I had to do to complete this cosplay. It comes as a normal, red wig. For those of you who cosplay, you know when you need a ponytail for a character you typically pick up a ponytail wig (which is a short wig with a ponytail clip attachhment or a wig designed to be put up in a ponytail). It took a lot of trial and error before getting this ponytail to hold. I started off trying to style it while wearing it, then switched to a mannequinn head, but in the end styling it when wearing is where I ended up. I have a majority of the ponytail held up in a hairtie, but other pieces where pinned into place with a bobby pin. The pinned pieces helped me create volvume where need be. I also cut the bangs as well as thinned out the ends of the wig to create more of the pointed shape her ponytail has. The spear is just a wooden rod I picked up at Walmart and eva foam to create the spear end. I sealed and painted the foam pieces to get the right colors. The boots where a rushed project and not my best work. I used a pair of rubber boots I already owned as a base and threw together quick boot covers with some red fabric I already owned. I painted on the white details using fabric paint. What was made?
Spear. Boot covers. What was bought? Bow. Gloves. Dress. Skirt. Stockings. Jewel. Top. Related Links!
