Debuted: Classic Comic Con 2016
Notes:
Pixie is probably my all time favorite X-men. I love everything about her and her design. She was on my "to cosplay" list from the beginning and finally getting to cosplay her was a dream come true. This was my first time making wings. It was actually pretty difficult figuring out how to attach something fairly heavy in a way that didn't make them flop around or simply fall off. After a lot of elastic band straps and a small wire frame I got them to stay up. The wings themselve were made from wire and cellophane. I actually have a tutorial on them on my YouTube. The bodysuit was made using Yaya Han's bodysuit pattern with some slight adjustments. The armor was made with eva foam and sealed with wood glue. It was painted with spray paint and shaded with oil paint. The belt buckle was made the same way. The headband was painted with acrylic paint (it was originally purple) and I attached a pair of elf ears I had made a long while back to them. The dagger was also made from cellophane and tape! At the last minute I decided it needed lighting, so I rigged up some LEDs real fast. To finish it off I used hot glue to at the details and swirly design it has. What was made?
Bodysuit. Gauntlets. Leg armor. Belt. Wings. Elf ears. Dagger. Gloves. What was bought? Nothing! Everything was made by me. Related Links!
