This group was put together thanks to CourtneyKissMe. We originally wanted to do their magical girl uniform, but due to lower budgets, we decided to put that off for a later year. Still wanting to have a large Sailor Moon cosplay group, we decided to each pick one of our character's most worn, everyday wear from the original 90s anime. For most, a lot of the clothing could be easily found in our own closets. For the pieces we didn't already own, we went thrifting instead. There wasn't much I owned for my casual Sailor Venus cosplay, so I went and hunted down pieces that looked as similar as possible on eBay. With Anime Expo arriving shortly, it was a bit tricky to find exact pieces and still have them arrive on time. For example, I had found a perfectly matching skirt but, due to the shipping time, I had to go with my second choice --which had a black band that Sailor Venus's outfit did not have. The one thing I did create from scratch for this cosplay was the necklace. I had faux suede rope already, but not in the color I needed--it was brown. To change the color I simply gave acrylic paint a shot. And it worked! Next up was to create the pendants. I made those out of clay. The only clay I had at the time was air-dry clay which makes the necklace fairly fragile, but it held up well throughout the entire convention. I also painted the pendants white once they dried. What was made?
Necklace. What was bought? Both tops. Skirt. Shoes. Hair bow. Related Links!

Fun Facts!
The perfect set?
- The bedroom set Anime Expo puts together every year made for the perfect set to shoot this cosplay! Wouldn't you agree? The bed sheets look pretty close to Sailor Moon's and I just found the bedroom overall to look like a way Sailor Moon's would look. The only downside is the lighting isn't that great inside the building, so it took a lot of editing to brighten the photo and remove the very yellow tone each one had.
