About:
I decided I wanted to do a proper Christmas themed cosplay this year, and Jingle Tracer was my first pick. I had been wanting to cosplay Tracer for a while and her Christmas skin was my favorite skins of hers, so it was a perfect and easy choice! Most of the patterns were drawn up just by looking at a reference photo and drawing what I saw or using the duct-tape method. This was primarily a sewing project, so it was mostly made using fabric, fabric paint and bias tape. The armor and prop pieces were made out of EVA foam, primed with wood glue and painted with acrylics. Lights were installed later since I didn't have time to install them before the first convention I wore this to. I'm super happy with how everything turned out. I'm also happy with how my first music video/parody video came out and glad I created it around this cosplay. What was made?
Dress. Leggings-altered. Shoes. Gauntlets. Hat-altered. Chest & back piece. Guns. Goggles. Gloves. What was bought? Nothing! Everything was made by me or heavily altered! Related Links!

Fun Facts!
Why'd you cosplay this?
- I wanted to do a proper Christmas cosplay! When the skin was first release, there was no way I'd be able to make the cosplay in time, so I decided it would be my holiday cosplay for the following year. I love Tracer! She's not my number 1 Overwatch character but she is a fun character to cosplay and the skin is really cute.
- When I first debuted this cosplay, Overwatch ended up retweeting me! The tweet mentioned the parody/music video I made featuring this cosplay, so that got quite a few new views too! I had shared this on Instagram (which auto-shares to Twitter) just before falling asleep, so it was quite a surprise to wake up to thousands of new notifications on Twitter.
- I really needed to get this cosplay made and the music video up on YouTube in a decent amount of time before Christmas--other wise the music video would have to wait another year for release. I ended up staying up for a full 2 days (slightly more than 48 hours) to finish the cosplay, build a small set, record the video, take photos and edit/publish the video. I managed to get everything done in a little bit more than a week before Christmas. I don't recommend this!
- I made custom ornaments for my tree a few years back. They're of various video game characters, including some from Overwatch. When putting together the set I made sure to put all the Overwatch characters and Blizzard characters in the front of the tree. The three presents on the ground are made out to Emily (Tracer's girlfriend), Lena (Tracer's real name) and Winston.
- I already owned some basic Christmas decor items, but to complete this set I bought some garland (I think that's what it's called), new ornaments and 3 new stockings. I also grabbed some wrapping paper and wrapped 3 empty Amazon boxes. The "snow" was just stuffing (which may be obvious) and I threw some foam, snowflake stickers on top.
